Red rubbing compound stains?

I recently used red rubbing compound to try to add a shine to the top of my wings and fuselage, and ended up with a red stain in the white paint that won't come out with anything I have tried (thinner, white rubbing compound, even tried acetone on a small spot!). Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks Aryana. Have been away but will try the Meguiars. Will let you know how it works.
