Yes - everything. Front/back seats, carpet, headliner, door panels, baggage compartment, hat rack. We will be stripping the paint from all the interior trim and repainting, as well as putting new door seals in once everything goes back together. It will be about twelve weeks before the interior pieces start arriving. We'll likely tackle the project after Oshkosh.

I haven't installed it yet, in fact, I will be flying the 170B home next Monday.
But being I had them on my '52 (that I sold in 2004 to get a PA-12), I ordered inertia reel belts from BAS and the tail pull. I also bought and painted the L19 tow hooks. Next will be door stewards.
Can't wait to get her home.

Well, I didn't actually buy it for my 170, but on the one-year anniversary of owning 62C I kinda got a tattoo of my 170 ...

As a side bonus, it’s now much easier for me to get my CG more towards the middle of the envelope.

A new tail wheel main leaf spring. I guess I've owned the airplane a long time, because this is the second one I've bought. Also, a new tailwheel spring pack U-bolt and matching "stiffener" from Air Repair. And I bought two S1167-4-0100 hoses for the brake lines under the pilot's feet. The old ones are hard as rock.

Keep in mind that objects may need securing to prevent shifting aft...and changing the C.ofG. at inopportune times.pdb wrote:I just had my mechanic install a Selkirk extended baggage kit. Boy do I wish I had done that 20 years ago. The exposed metal interior can be gussied up with fiberglass side panels and rubber side panels. I may do that later but right now I am very happy.

Re: What did you buy for your 170 today?
I bought an annual. During the annual I had my A&P install the Dip Davis cowl latches and a new rudder bell crank. Also ended up replacing a tire and the gascolator drain valve. No surprises, which is always a relief. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to help with the annual this year, but I was out of town for a few weeks and it made more sense scheduling-wise for my mechanic to do it while I was gone.

I also bought a tailwheel spring spacer from Air Repair. Perfect as the day in 1967 it went into the foil-lined bag. Seems a shame to mess it up by using it.

I bought... A couple travel things (travel iron for my clothes, phone power bank...) and booked an hotel for a week. I'm not a Cessna 170 owner yet, I've registered on this forum to talk with owners and see whether it's the right plane for me, and next week I'll spend a couple days at the airfield I take lessons at so that I can cram as many flying hours as I can in that time and pass the final exam: I don't have a lot of time but stil want my license!

A new Aero Classic 6-ply tailwheel tire and new tube. After another 2 year old 4-ply tailwheel tire went flat and was cracked all the way around I decided to try the 6-ply. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Re: What did you buy for your 170 today?
This is one of my favorite reads on this site. I owe your folks a proper entry but I've bought a bunch of things for 94D mostly triggered by my prop strike on a very windy crosswind day in March of last year ... that's a two beer story. Anyway tonight by the time I got to page four of this post I had a few good chuckles. Here's to TIC170A!
Cheers!
More to follow but now its back to work ... and more flying of one sweet airplane!

I didn’t buy these, Santa left them on my front porch last night in a Priority Mail envelope. They came complete with instructions for finishing and prep for installation, making them “owner produced” parts.
