Looks similar to the one I built for our bird oh so many years ago living in Naperville, IL. Glad I don't have to shovel that snow again.

Hmmmn... did Santa's previous schedule include a departure to MI from PA?cessna170bdriver wrote:I didn’t buy these, Santa left them on my front porch last night in a Priority Mail envelope. They came complete with instructions for finishing and prep for installation, making them “owner produced” parts.

Those aren't from PA. I think Ed knows their origin.gahorn wrote:Hmmmn... did Santa's previous schedule include a departure to MI from PA?

Re: What did you buy for your 170 today?
I should have bought this a long time ago. I rode in a friend’s Comanche recently and he had this model and was happy with it. He sees about 9ppm taxiing, but after takeoff and the gear is up, it goes to zero.
This one just got delivered, and the weather is bit low today, so I haven’t had a chance to check it out. I’ll report back when I do.

Spruce will sell you those chocks. I have several sets sto…. errr… liberated from a brand new shipment which broke open when the freight company dropped the pallet onto the ramp off the tailgate and it busted open. I helped him pick them all up and he condemned them (damaged) out of gratitude. The yellow stripes are glow-in-the-headlights. Nice chocks.170C wrote:I like the chocks. Source?

Wow, went for the full stack. I just got the main spring but haven't installed it yet.
Question on your CO monitor, I have the same unit and with the cabin heat full on I'm getting a reading of 3-4, zero with heat off - what are you showing with cabin heat on? 3-4 is still in the safe zone but concerned about getting any.

Miles, sorry for the wrong post!
Ole Pokey (172TD/170C) got new black steel brake discs; new brake pads; new ss brake lines; and new caliper "O" ring gaskets.
George, had to get these new brakes to stop this GREEN plane

Karl, the only time I’ve ever seen anything above zero on my CO detector in the airplane was a 1 at startup in a cold day with the heat on. I have it hanging on the microphone bracket just under the center of the panel. I know the unit works because I tested it on my car exhaust on a cold start. It went up to about 25 or 30 until the catalytic converter warmed up, then quickly back into the single digits.

Some of John Pugliese’s brake fairings and SS brake lines.
Now if I can just find some wheelpant mounting plates in good condition.
