An inner tube works just as good if you can find one.

Richard’s suggestion is a good one. Use the cover as a pattern, and for the gear-leg, just make a slit for the leg to pass-thru for a tight fit.

The L-19 p/n 0611064 fit snuggly on my gear leg. The screw holes and outer circumference match the landing gear fillet cover plate. It's .074" thick. My guess is that it is identical to landing gear fillet seal, C-170 p/n 0511125. Unfortunately, at roughly 3.25", it's wider than than the 3" baffle seal material at Aircraft Spruce.

But the baffle seal is sold in rolls....of differing lengths... and a seal might be cut lengthwise...??

You can buy sheet rubber from Grainger, different thicknesses, types, and softness.

There are a lot of options for making those seals if they are all sold out at the link I provided. Being an inveterate cheapskate I was just disappointed that the fillet seal is about a quarter inch too wide to use two feet of the three inch baffle seal. For both seals p/n 05-00811-3 from Aircraft Spruce would have run less than $5.00 + s/h.

If you split the difference on both sides by 1/8” I don’t think you would ever tell the difference in how that 3” baffle seal would work vs the 3-1/4” L-19 seal.

I’m all set with the L-19 seals. I was surprised that for an NOS part - probably from the ‘60s - it was still supple/stretchy. I originally bought it to use as a pattern.

Any idea if the L-19 fillet plate, P/N 0611063, holes match a B-Model?
