Hello,
I'm replacing the tailwheel bracket on my 170A and discovered that the bulkhead needs to be replaced. I'm hoping someone has a spare bulkhead or knowns where I can find one.
The parts catalog has an assembly number as 0512109. I called Cessna to get the actual part # of the bulkhead, I haven't heard back from them yet.

Re: 170A Tailwheel Bracket Replacement
WHY is yours needful of complete replacement?
The A-models elevator as well as the straight 170 (such as on a pre-flight inspection) if held UP and then released...will fall with a Bang!
(B-models being counterbalanced, will drift down more softly onto the lower stops.). This can lead to the elevator-cable bell-crank banging against the fixtures/bulkhead and causing extensive cracking. Is that what has occured?

Re: 170A Tailwheel Bracket Replacement
Hi George, The tail section was replaced in 1964 (no details why). They reused the bulkhead and really buggered up a lot of the holes re-drilling for the new skin. The rest of the bulkhead is in decent shape other than bucking bar damage. However, the bell-crank attach brackets are cracked most likely from what you described. I do have replacement brackets. I bought a 170B tail section thinking everything would be the same (ha - lesson learned).gahorn wrote: WHY is yours needful of complete replacement?
