Has anybody out there removed their V-brace from a 170 with the factory float kit? I'm assuming it just unbolts up top.
I liked it for a handhold at first, but now I wouldn't mind getting it out of my field of vision.

If the top bolt was installed from front to back you may have to cut it to clear the windshield retaining strip. you can install it from the back to replace it. You need to pull the headliner down in the front corner to get to the back side of the carry through. Its a good oportunity to see what the corrosion is like on those bolts. If you would like to sell the brace I would be interested.
