You'll note that the airport lies in Class D airspace while the tower is in operation, then it is in Class G airspace. Technically they are correct in that the airport--the part that is dirt and concrete that has a fence around it--is in Class G airspace. But if you look at a sectional, you'll see that the airport lies within the giant shaded magenta blob that surrounds the greater San Antonio area.
