Evan Chappuis and I had a beeyooteefull flight today, and the weather couldn't have been nicer for it.
We left KSVE, headed over Eagle Lake to Mt. Lassen, then on to Lake Almanor, and back toward home via Indian Valley, Antelope Lake, and Thompson Peak. About 1.3 hours in all. Evan was comfortable and quite at home, since he had owned a Cessna 170B also. The time went by quickly, and the conversation was very enjoyable. What a privilege for me, to have the chance to fly an (almost) Centenarian Taildragger Pilot with 4,650 hours of airtime. He was polite about my takeoff and landing skills... I'm sure his are much more finely honed! He signed my logbook, and gave me an "OK", too!
