A Month Into Spring??
It's a month into spring, we've had days into the 70's (this past Saturday and Sunday
), and we woke up to almost an inch of snow this morning in Tehachapi! Poor picture due to cheap no-flash camera phone before sunup, but you get the idea...

For the first time in my life, That makes me glad I live in Illonis, in April
Yet I do rember having to quit planting on the first of May. Because I couldn't see the planter ferrow, because of blowing snow.

Another inch overnight.
At least it's not quite cold enough to stick on the roads.

Re: A Month Into Spring??
The cool weather is following Ina and I across the west! We are on a train trip from Portland to Los Angeles, Tucson (where we are now), to San Antonio.
It has been very cool and wet since we left Portland and I'm lovin it. It's supposed to be in the 80's here but yesterday, Tucson set the lowest ever, high temperature record for April 22 at 57°. It's still only 44° here and Sierra Vista south of here is 33°!
We're trying to fly my nephew's C-180 to Tombstone today to look at the tourist stuff there but we're waiting for the IFR weather down that way to lift. I never imagined this kind of weather in southern Arizona.
If global warming keeps going like this, I won't have to keep going back to Alaska in the summers!
