NIce! (The annual cub migration at Reklaw always has a nice line-up of Cubs. Mr. Taylor and Mr Piper sure did a lot for us all.

C-170's don't have rear-view windows, Miles. The ONLY way to view an airplane significantly differing in speed than yourself along the same course...is thru the front window. Therefore, an airplane in front of you will appear RED if it's leaving you behind...and GREEN if you're gaining on it.

It's particularly relevant that the red/green thing recently renewed itself, as only this last week, after a long "MIA", I had dinner with Joe Harris' daughter, Megan. She's happy and doing well.

I can't make out the accent, its probably Texas, maybe North Dakota. This is definitely real Eskimo engineering for those hard to prop airplanes.

Texas, You say....Sir you have listened to too much howling Alaska wind while viewing those "Northern Lights" if that is Texas. Or could it be you have had a little too much "Northern Exposure".... ;~)
