I used velcro when I put in my airtex carpet. I sewed the velcro to the carpet to keep it from just pulling the foam off the backing.

Other than the tunnel, the carpet stays in place by itself anyway.

I hope you realize that in order to keep all that pretty paint in good shape on the floor and rudder pedals etc...you're gonna have to fly barefoot! :lol:

I Don't know about legality, but to save some weight discard the metal spring setup and use polyfiber for foam supports. Just wrap and glue around the seat frame top and bottom, then heat shrink snug. No need to put any coating on it as it will be where the sun don't shine, so to speak. Light, easy and very strong. Pretty comfortable too.
