N7A survives another storm. Though it could have been different if it were 100 feet to the north (left in the picture) where a cedar tree came down. Our electric flashed a few times and while sleeping it may have gone out but we were not inconvenienced by at outage. But lots of the area around us has lost power. We did lose a pine tree I'd considered removing anyway. Now I don't have to dig out the stump.

We faired OK and the plane never moved in the hangar. We still are out of electric since 5:30 last eve. Didn't get the rain expected. Just some cleanup but not like the people that got a beach front property now.

3531c survived unharmed. We are inland enough to have felt the effects, but missed the major flooding and storm surge. Always want to live on the barrier islands until this happens and then?!?! I think all of the airports in South Jersey survived, don't know about Ocean City. I know this was a light breeze in some parts of the country, having lived places that get severe weather, but for here this was a big deal. The coast is devastated, many years to rebuild it, natures stimulus package.

Scott I wouldn't call it a light breeze compared to some parts of the country. I'd rather ride through a hurricane than a tornado. Why because I've lived through hurricanes and they arr part of life in the north east. I have a healthy respect for hurricanes but don't fear them, a tornado on the other hand I've not experienced and don't want to.

We had it pretty easy down here this time (W00).
No planes were damaged and very few trees went down.
There was freak storm earlier this year that caused much more damage. I don't remember winds over 55MPH this time.
Respect hurricanes and fear tornadoes: very good description.

Anchorage had three 80-100mph blows a month or so ago. We don't call them hurricanes, we call it September. We usually get one in January also.
I lost 11 trees in my yard with two leaning over the house but not actually falling.
Bruce- If you will cut that pine tree about 15' above the roots, you can tie a strong rope just below the cut and position your truck 90 degrees to the trunk and twist it out of the ground. Then just fill in the hole.
