What I see is the tail number has been changed from N6D to N170BM.Bruce Fenstermacher wrote: Anybody else see anything out of the ordinary I didn't notice?
I believe you are correct, as I recall the STOL kit is from Robertson.54170b wrote:Those aren't madras tips, there Sportsman tips to match the Stol kit
I'm sorry that I am unable to answer your question. I haven't spoken with Bob in about 4 years and have lost his phone numbers. I tried sending an email last night, I have not heard back.Francis Cahoon wrote:Wheeler3, do you have any advice or information pertaining to this plane? I think ole pokey brought up something about not doing a slip with full 40 degree flaps with this type of tail, did Bob ever mention anything about this to you? I really would have liked to meet Bob and listen to his experiences with this plane. Anything you could share with me would be greatly appreciated Thank you F. Cahoon
The type tail is not the problem... it's the 40 degrees of flaps....which none of the tails could handle. Later 172 aircraft had reduced flap deployment angles.Francis Cahoon wrote:Wheeler3, do you have any advice or information pertaining to this plane?
