FAT tires are slow and belong on green super cubs. (unless you also have gobbed on VG's and blister-cowlings for your Lycoughing.)

Yes, Gastons would be a great place to plan a future fly in. Neosho owes Arkansas a return visit anyway after what the Ft. Smith "secesh" boys did to Neosho during that little skirmish back in '63. (
"On October 4, 1863, a portion of the town was burned by Confederate General Joseph Shelby, who appeared with 1,100 men and, after shelling the courthouse, received the surrender of Union Captain McAfee and his 200 men. ...In 1863 much of the original downtown had been burned down during the city's capture by the retreating Confederate forces. Back in the 80's we used to have annual fly-ins there before it got so expensive. A member by the name of Red Lodjec (sp) was normally the host. Would not be uncommon to have 20-25 planes fly in for the weekend. Was and probably still is a great place to fly in.

I land MOST of the time on grass with my 6:00X6 tires inside "streamlines"....(wheelpants because REAL planes wear the PANTS! Woosie planes need oversized tenderfeet tires.)
