Bring some to Convention for the Auction! (and some extras to taste to drum up interest in bidding.)

(But don’t do what I did for the 2003 convention….I asked for a beer contribution from a friend who was a partner in a Durango Steam Beer brewery…and he showed up at the airport with several cases…being so generous….which I was then too embarrassed by my request to refuse the entire gift…. I loaded it into the back seat…and “departed” the Animas airport…a long, levelrunway that ends at a downslope to a huge valley (thank God)…. realizing how Lt. Lawson felt when he descended off the bow of the Hornet on the Doolittle Raid… 8O Took 20 minutes of circling in the valley below before achieving 90 mph so I could get a 100 fpm climb going to clear the ridgelines to the West..

George, if you headed WEST from Durango, it wasn’t the 2003 Convention (Wilmington, NC). 2002 or 2004, perhaps?

Ooops…Typo…. Thx for the correction. It was for YOUR convention, Tehachapi…that I brought the “Locomotive Steam Beer”…. which as I recall… brought the crazy winning bid of $45 per six-pack…. and multiple six-packs sold out to subsequent biddrs! LOL
