George,

I'll do as suggested. The aircraft will be ferried to Switzerland sometime in January, and I'll prepare it and pick it up from there in April-May. Would have preferred to do it now (WX... storms start around April here, while now we only have problems of visibility due to Sahara dust in the air), but my schedule is too tight for the first quarter.

Hi Phillip- I live in South Africa and can give you some estmates as to what it cost me to get mt 1953 170b resored by pros in S/Africa during 2004

Purchase of plane- US $ 31k - motor timex - very tatty paint and exterior
Strip to bare metal and repaint $5800
new leather interior and headliner,carpets etc $2300
minor panel upgrade A/H ,intercom and one radio $2500
Complete Millenium motor overhaul and all new hoses etc $25800
All new windows- $500

Total cost aprox US$ 67400


Things are expensive here- You are doing fine @$44 k

My Stinson 108 cost a simlar amout to restore here
