Here are some photos for comparison, same plane different tires. I had access to 26 in good years but no paperwork.

Remember those giant magnifying glasses from the 50s that people put in front of their TVs to make the picture bigger? You wouldn't happen to have one, would you? 8)

After clicking on Corey's link, I could also read it. Nice magnifier, but not real portable compared to bi focals, don't need those yet either.

419A,

Looks like your having a lot of fun. I assume the 26" AL Bush wheels are the best of that bunch in Alaska. Tough to justify here in the lower 48. What do you see for performance differences?

The biggest difference is how they smooth out the rough stuff and they roll a lot better when soft. With the Gar 8.50x10 to get them soft you had to drop the pressure down around 12 psi or less then they didn't want to roll and you run the risk of spinning them on the rim and tearing the valve stem out. With the 8.50's both the 6" and 10" it just about rattle your teeth out landing on some of the gravel bars and ridges with soft ball size rocks. I definitely think they will help reduce some of the shock and fatigue on the air frame from off airport ops. Especially taxing down the pothole covered road from my house to the airstrip.
