Iowa, The 170 News is published by TIC170A and has suggested requirements for submitted photos, one of which is a preference for photos of aircraft in-flight.
The Calendar is a labor of love by Doug Mowry and is published by himself for the benefit of TIC170A.
Anyway, the photo submissions are to different recipients.

Dave,

Do you have it in electronic form - i.e. .jpg, .bmp, etc? If you have it electronically, then just email it to me. If all you have is a print, then send it to me and I'll scan it and ensure its safe return.

If you want to submit a photo for the 170 News, send it to HQ. Jan Billeb handles the official TIC170A publications.

Petit Jean is in AR and is run by Dave Laseter. Check out this thread:

Dave's website:

Also, the May page of the calendar has a few Petit Jean pics.

Thanks Doug for sending IOWA the thread.

IOWA, tsk, tsk, tsk. We've got to talk. All this time on the forums and you're not aware of Petit Jean?????

It's a fun weekend low key flyin held northwest of Little Rock on an airport owned by a state park. It's a camping and social event. No activities, just BS, eats, campfires, some site seeing, hiking, flying and a chance to meet a bunch of NICE 170 folks.

Why don't you go over to that thread and we'll continue this discussion.

Doug, I've got some fall shots to send you. Was hoping to get some winter ones too, but as of today we've got 10 inches of snow on top of 1/2 inch of ice. Nasty. Won't be any flying or pictures for a while. We couldn't get our garage door opened because there was too much ice resulting in heavy weight. An most neighbors were stuck in their driveways. Gotta get some skiis for that ol bird......

Well, you all send me whatever pictures you like. I'll work with them and we'll see how things go. You can email them to me or send a CD via usps... either way is fine.

Kyle, I'm looking forward to those fall shots. I don't get too many with good foliage in them. Don't worry about the winter pics, there's still time left to get some.

Paul, Got your email. thanks!

Everyone,
If you have large image files that's great! Whatever you do, please DO NOT down size them. The larger the image file the better the chance I have of using it.

IF your files are too big to email, you can burn them onto a CD and mail it to me. My address is in the membership directory. If you don't have a directory, email or pm me and I'll send it to you.

Just a reminder to submit photos for the 2008 calendar. Haven't received many pics so far this year. It's fly-in season, so how about getting some photos!!

Thanks Trevor. Sounds like you are getting those images off of film? I see that you work in digital photography. If you can send me hi-res digital images, that would work best. If not, I can scan them.

Not sure if the link works. Found a picture of our airplane randomly on the web by doing a search of the n number. N8249a. He has the original for public download at 2358x1886. Not sure if that is large enough.
