What is the deal with that 120-140 (not sure) that is sitting on the west side with the rudder removed by the old DC-6's and such. Is that a boneyard or just someone's tiedown. I think there is a straight tail 182 and cherokee over there too.

Just wondering.
thanks

Post by BVRAIR »

Tim,
Subject change again. Gary Moore here in Anchorage. I tried to PM you regarding the AVION panel you installed in your 170. Don't think message went through. Anyways, could you call me sometime regarding the panel. I have a couple of questions. I'm installing one in my 55 170B.

Gary Moore, Ph 907-229-3353 or e-mail bvrair@aol.com

Tim,
I worked at the BMEWS site at Clear from 1960 to 1967. I lived in Fairbanks and flew back and forth between Clear and Fairbanks many times with Jim McGoffin. Pretty wild country back then. Also got my first ride in a C170B at Nenana in 1962. Fell in love with them and have owned five since then. Latest is a 55B with 180 lyc which I'm in the process of restoring wheels up. I just replied to another post of your regarding Avion panel.
