Keith-
I appreciate it but Del, Tony, Mike, Tanner, Darrel, Keith, Mel Wick and his crew, "Mad Mike" Patterson, Gary and Scott from Northern Lights Avionics, and Bryan and Jim from Merrill Field Instruments should get the credit....
Makes me wish I lived closer to Arkansas!

I'm going to take you up on that... when I can find time to break away. Might be January the way things are looking. I'll keep you posted.

Miles-
Mena is "almost" on the way home from Oshkosh to Tehachapi. Only 445nm out of the way but it would be worth it!

Keith-
I'll hold you to it. Just let me know when, I'll have -15D gassed up and ready to go. We can fly in a 2-ship or just take one.

That goes for the rest of you guys as well, stop by Fredericksburg or Hilltop Strip, Alaska anytime I'm there, y'all are always welcome. Of course, the 170 is in Texas.

Yeah, you are right, life IS good, and I'm well aware how fortunate we are to be able to fly around anywhere we want, anytime we choose. I sure HOPE that doesn't ever CHANGE!

It's not too hard to get a nice plane, I know how to do that. But, I still have no idea how I lucked into getting Ina to hang around.

AND brought the beer. Don't forget the beer :D
Oh yeah, I forgot about the beer, we were so busy every time I came to Mena we didn't get to drink much of it. I hope you and your guys make good use of it.

Can't wait to see this bird in person! Nice job, Richard and all who worked on the project.

Richard

I'm marking places on the map of where I would like to fly to some day so where is HillTop Strip, is it close to the town of Peters Creek Ak?

Yep, Hilltop Strip, AK24, Chugiak, AK, right next to Birchwood Airport, PABV, or BCV, just north of Anchorage, AK, but not the Peters Creek mining area up by the Alaska Range. Come on up.

Thanks Kyle, we're planning on flying to the convention in Michigan, then on to Oshkosh.

I tried to post awhile ago, but something went wrong. It didn't take; unlike my wife the first (and last) 6 times. A local plumber fixed that.
I think when you were here, maybe that was a night I needed to pick up the kids (only 3; the other 3 are self sufficient  ), so I couldn't/wouldn't have a beer.
I am making a LITTLE use of your beer this evening, burning the midnight oil restoring a Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle .50 cal. The only thing better I can think of, for cold beer drinking, would be working on or driving "Miss Molly" (maybe that should be her driving me), my 53' Jubilee.

Del-
I think you have something there, drinking beer driving around on a '53 Jubilee (I had to Google that one) with a .50 cal mountain rifle in the Arkansas mountains. No telling what adventures might present themselves. Now that's living.

p.s. Be careful with that "real" beer, remember, it's not that Okie 3.2% stuff!

I think Del's been holding out on us, Ol'Gar!

He didn't say a WORD to us about his Jubilee!

(I want a '53 Jubilee and a '53 RED pickup to go with N146YS.)

I think it is funny the similar interest we all share. Guns, old airplanes and old cars. I have a 1950 Chevy Pick up. It and the airplane need a resto job done on them.
