Polishing an aluminum airplane

Thanks.
I am using F7 with the Porter Cable and then follow up aith the C and then the S for the first polish of the year. Touch ups are S unless there are heavy fingerprints, then I'll use C first. Use very little polish. The cotton I use on the Porter Cable is 100% cotton from Wally World for about $2.50 a yard. Every year it gets a little quicker to bring it up to show condition. I also cover the airplane in the hanger and that helps keep it shined.

I'm far too old to spend my remaining time trying to polish an airplane. I just let my ariplanes natural aluminum finish go to hell and I painted its name on the boot cowl. "The Silver Pig"!

BL, I appreciate the patina you aircraft is collecting and wonder why anyone would want to remove it.

It has nothing to do with being an old fart though my daughters think I am at 49. Suspect I'm a young wiper snapper to you. :D

Becky and I were lucky enough to camp next to Dan in '04 at OSH. It was really nice not having to go to the showers in the morning to shave or comb my hair. Just look over at Dan's bird was all that was needed. We couldn't ask for a better mirror. It's a beaut!

Most times we like our painted bird, but every once in a while we get to see something like Dan's and it makes me start to wish.........

Bruce and Blueldr You probably are too old to care about this too, but polished planes are real chick magnets. Bill K

In Bruce's neck of the woods, the only chicks he'll be attracting have feathers.

Wiper snapper? At a Polishing discussion? That's sorta like bringin' a knife to a gunfight! Perhaps you meant "Whipper-Snapper".

George, if you're going to go after misspellings now, you've really got your work cut out for you! :D
