The registration forms will not be mailed to you either. FTW FSDO requires that one appear IN PERSON to obtain one. :evil:

Are you sure about that, George? There seems to me to be a helluva lot of places that aren't at all handy to a FSDO.

Last I need one about 3 years ago, the Allentown FSDO wanted to mail it to me. When I asked if I couldn't just stop in to get one they said no. I had to make an appointment and besides they could mail it to me. I said, OK how about an appointment in 45 minutes and they relented and said OK. 45 minutes later after passing through the first level of security, there in the hall was a rack full of them. I took 3, one to use, one in case I messed up the first and the last one just because.

I guess this is why the FAA has us now register every 3 years or it is voided. Without the reg current I am told the aircraft can be seized and held.

Yep. They told me I had to come pick it up in person. When I arrived, the heavy security door was locked and they had to "buzz" me in. Once inside, there was an entire rack of forms including registration forms free for the taking. I also took several because of all the trouble.
