bluEldr, did you know Roy Immel? He lived just west of me a few miles on a grass strip, and was an old B47 driver. He had a 150 Texas Taildragger until his most recent acquisition (pictured at the following link, a local EAA newsletter, which announced his recent trip West.)

Here's a pic of his hangar/home, which is off a mid-field taxiway on the north side of the runway (that's the taxiway on the other side of the hangar in this view...the runway is barely in the pic):
