Also, try the preview button when you compose your message. If the picture shows up in the preview, it'll show up in the forum. If not, it won't.

Thanks IOWA for reducing the size to fit on the forum. I think I clik on a size that reads "web large" or something. Which I think is like 600 x 400 pix.

all this talk about being the new
owner of an aircraft
keeps reminding me of when i
bought my 1946 C140!!
i bought it from a Henry Douglas
at Clow Airport in the western suburbs of chicago
back in 1979!!
here is a picture of the 3,700 i used to buy it!!
there is no feeling like one gets
when the first airplane is purchased!!

It's often said around boats that the two happiest days in a boat owner's life are the day they bought it and the day they sold it. I've never heard that about airplanes, for some reason!

not to detract from 170's,
but i don't fly much in the winter,
so work faithfully on my '42 willys 'slat' grill wwii jeep.
finished putting in the brake lines the other day.

Hi Iowa,
Funny you should post that picture. A friend just brought his 42 willeys frame into the paint shop to paint after sandblasting. Me being me I had to look it over which led to finding cracks and bad welds.

I ended up welding about 65 spots and then priming it and painting it this week. Yours is looking very nice. Brian

Hi Iowa,
I enjoyed your pics. I have a polished and red 170 myself and a couple of CJ2A basket cases waiting patiently for my retirement.

Iowa, I'll try to get some together. Unfortunatly the nice pics I had of my 170 were lost when my computer crashed last month. Now I have this ugly blue spinner as a result of my engine change and I haven't had time to paint it yet.
