Ditto to George's remarks! You two have gone ABOVE & BEYOND for us. No shame in your decision. It's a lot of work, time and money to host an event.

I was kind of thinking along the lines of having someone mention a destination place with advance notification - then we just gather there. I've enjoyed doing that with some other 170ers. In fact I might urge members to maybe post something along the lines of the Fun Places to Fly website. It might be sort of a "Here's where I'm going to fly this weekend - anyone care to join in?".

Anyway, D & T we thank you SOOOOO much for all your past work.

I too want to express my appreciation for the wonderful years of fly-ins at Petit Jean, made possible by Traci and Dave's hard work and warm hospitality. Those memories will be with me always.

I'd love to find an alternative place where we could start a new series of 170 fly-ins, someplace that would be accessible to the kind of mix of southerners and northerners that made Petit Jean great (the country is too wide to get easterners and westerners together for a weekend!!).

Somebody mentioned Kentucky Dam a while back. I've never been there, but the Swifters used to have fly-ins there.

It's a big country. There must be some other spots that would work! Maybe the folks at Lee Bottom would let us gather for a weekend?

Oh man. Lee Bottom is even in reach for some of us easterners. I've put it on my list for several years know but have not made it. It's closer than Petit Jean for me anyway.

Was only at Petit Jean once for a few hours but it was great and Leroy and I will always appreciate Dave and Traci for setting a target for us to get to.

I'm with George though it is tuff to fly all that way for me, for those that are closer, someone should step up and lead the pack.

John, I like your line of thinking. I've got Lee Bottom on my places I'd like to visit. Anyone got a spot they love in the mid-south that might make a meeting place? Let's hear some ideas........Places in OK, KS, MO??? Gotta be a place that's handy for the N/S folks to meet.
