Since 2006 City has defamed pilots city council meetings and a complicit press.

City wants to close airport and do strip mall for tax revenue. Major elected with this dream.

They refused to rent main hanger at airport. $325.00 per month . A they filled hanger with city junk equipment. dEnied the aviation community of aircraft storage.

They are a grants airport . Owe $500,000.00. To FAA.

Now OIG, MODOT, FAA are starting to investigate.

City still trying to posture , claims FAA unfair and made them write check for 11,700.00 simply because the city had two pallets with engines stores in hanger. Count them just two wooden pallets. Point in Truth, we have photos of hanger filled with old mowing equipment and other city junk.
Pictures are being posted to blog Kilo039.blogspot St Clair airport.

More troubles in store personal attacks on pilot integrity, civic minded news and running a city like a personal CountryClub is about to entangle the administrators

Check was reimbursement to new airport account for hanger rent denied by refusing tenants.

Regards
You

It would be more interesting if we had a clue to where all this is taking place.

Unfortunately, such settlements can be politicked into convincing the general public just as another taxpayer expense and reason to shut it down and turn it from an expense to a revenue producer by developing it. (You know those rich airplane owners don't care about the community, etc etc ad nauseum.)
The public doesn't realize an airport is like a bridge to the world. Drivers don't fully appreciate a bridge if it's in the rearview mirror.... until they need to cross the gorge.
