The TCM website is a GREAT place. Service Bullitens, Information Letters, etc can be downloaded for free. What a deal. Lots of terrific information and a good way to document why or why not an AD is applicable to your appliance or engine.

The Master Service Manual and Service Support Manual for the Bendix Magnetos requires either a $295 on line subsription fee, or it is $105 for the printed version, + $15 for the Service Support Manual for the mags. Shops have to suffer that, but at least they get to prorate it over more than one airplane hopefully. Was wondering if there is enough interest for a group of us to go in together and have that documentation. We are required by the regs to have the applicable manuals to do the work. Just putting feelers out, the mags seldom need attention. There is the 500 hour AD, and the SB's list other items that are wise in their opinion to maintain on a regular basis.

The Bendix and Slick overhaul manuals are probably in the possession of your local shop. I'll bet they'll let you borrow and photo-copy them. (I got mine by visiting a shop going out of business and was throwing them in the trash.)
