The International Cessna^® 170 Association

Hi all,

I have always had a love for the C170 and would one day like to own one. I've had my license for about 10 years and I'm a 7th grade math teacher. Recently I've been developing projects and activities in my math class that incorporate aviation. I've posted some of these projects on the backcountrypilot.org site and some of the guys over there suggested that I share them on here as they pertain to the C170.

Panady, I wish I would have had a 7th grade (or high school) teacher like you. Your method deals in potential real life things. We sure never had much that appeared to have a lot of practical value in our classes. Of course that was back in the dark ages We need more teacher like you whether you use aviation or other things to make the course work relate to tangible things. Keep up the good work and get you a C-170!

Yes I was thinking the same as Frank. If I understood why I wanted to know Algebra, I may have listened a bit more. Practical application seemed to seldom be taught.

Don't know if it would be 7th grade level but W&B would be another Math example.
