Thanks to Dave & Marsha Mason, a lot of work by an army of volunteers, good weather overall and a bunch of fellow airplane folks Reklaw 2003 was a super sucess! Friday's prefect weather allowed a record number of planes & folks to come in early to enjoy Dave's hospitality and super accomodations. Saturday brought rain by midday, but spirits weren't dampened and all appeared to have a great time (I know our group sure did!). Sunday dawned a lot cooler as the predicted cool front finally made it into East Texas. It appeared most who chose to do so were able to leave by mid to late AM for their return trip home. Folks were there from as far away as Alaska (yea, he did in fact fly down) Maine (they drove) & two 170 members from Wisconson & Iowa. (Sure surprised to see both of them as I taxied up to my camping spot.) As Joe Harris described it "Oshkosh Texas". Those who were unable to attend sure missed out on a good one, but there is always next year. Plan to attend!

Almost forgot, there was one LATE ARRIVAL. George (as usual) came in about an hour after dark! George, you are either going to have to get Jamie to get you started earlier or your going to have to get one of those straight wings so it won't take so long to fly to your destination!!!!

As a side note to Frank's message, Dave is nearing completion of his beautiful home and the complexities of contractors, schedules, etc of that major project has certaintly been more than full time occupation of his time. Most people would have had to let a flyin take second place and skip a year so a major project could be managed. But Dave sacrificed and made sure Reklaw happened again this year even during such a demanding period in his life.
