I recommend AeroShell W100 for operation in temperate or tropical climates, and W80 in cold climates (with the preferred proper engine pre-heating.) Without engine preheating I'd recommend their 15W50 multi-grade. The plain stuff. But NOT Plus! Plus has additives that contribute to degredation (leaching) of copper in bearings.
Shell producesan inhibiting/preservative oil called Shell Fluid 2F. It is available in 55 gal drums and 5 gallon pails. You might find some in suppliers stockshelves in the old 1-gallon sizes. Follow their recommendations and those of TCM.
Try their webpages:

In answer to your question in the other discussion thread, I recommend the Champion 48108 spin on filter in conjuction with the FM Enterprises filter adaptor for the C145/O300 engines. http://www.fm-enterprises.com/
