Oil filter weight and balance

I'm just putting together a new equipment list and weight and balance since installing my camera port and noticed that an entry wasn't made for the F&M CO-300 oil filter that I installed last year. Has anyone figured this one out including oil? It lists it as 3 lbs. 5 oz. without oil. Was wondering what anyone else came up with for mean arm and weight of unit w/ oil and weight of old oil screen for subtraction. It's not that I'm lazy or anything ... it's just that I'm kinda lazy. TIA

Joe,the El Reno paperwork that came with my filter sez installed weight 4 pounds. I would just measure how far "center of mass" of the filter assembly is from the firewall. Then measure how far the old screen location is from the firewall & weigh the old screen. If you got rid of the screen,I still have mine but don't have an appropriate scale for weighing it. Maybe the local post office?
Then do the appropriate "removed" & "installed" calculations to ammend the W&B sheet. Remember this stuff is ahead of the firewall so it's a "minus" arm. I've been told that an A&P has to sign the new W&B to make it strictly legal.

Thanks Eric. Thought maybe someone else had their figures real handy, but no problem and I think I've got the old screen laying around somewhere.
