Karen and I stopped in Elizabethtown, KY on our way to Tennessee and are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, the hotel that 2024 Convention hosts John and Cindy Swanson have chosen for next year’s 170 Convention. It looks like a nice hotel for the convention. It’s about 15 minutes from the convention airport and about 40 minutes from Louisville’s commercial airport. There are about a half dozen restaurants within walking distance, including Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, Shoney’s, and Ruby Tuesday’s. Looks like they also have a nice lobby, bar, and breakfast area.
Unfortunately, about a week before the Swansons announced the convention dates Karen and I committed to an Inside Passage cruise out of Seattle Sept 7-14 so at best we are only going to be able to attend the last one or two days of the Convention.
