170B fuel tank strap and rubber strips

I tried a search of the forum posts but didn't find mention of where to get the rubber strips that are under the fuel tanks and under the tank mounting straps. Also I found that the rear strap on my left tank was broken on the inboard end at the corner of the tank.

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to get these items or, if I have to make my own what materials I should use? Would silicone baffling cut into strips work?

Thanks,
Dan L

You can buy rolls of neoprene online. Stick it down with 3M 1300 contact cement.

Thickness is important. The original thickness is 1/16", I think, but get some 1/8" too, just in case. If the strip is too thin the tank filler neck won't reach the top skin. Too thick and you won't be able to get the top skin on. The idea, as far as I can tell, is to place the tank at a height so its weight is mostly carried on the lower skin, but the filler neck is captured by the upper skin.

I bought neoprene rolls. I have been working 6 days a week since December so haven't gotten much done. Thanks for the help.
