I posted some comments in the "Members Issues" forum. How do I make web addresses appear as links in my posts?

I see in the "Member Issues" section your links have some extra characters associated with them; i.e. ">", "/<', "?Cat=<", etc. If you edit your post and remove these, your links should be fine. Just type in whatever web address you want and it should work, such as:
http://www.cessna170.org

Either way will work.
At one time you had to type the full url including the HTTP part which tells the server what kind of language you are goin to communicate in. There are others such as FTP://
Today if you don't include the http:// and your url starts with www then it's understood in most cases you want to use html to communicate. In fact most times you don't even need the www. Try it. cessna170.org when entered into your browser will work but your email and this form software won't recognize it as a link without the www in front. Here are all three examples:
http://www.cessna170.org
http://www.cessna170.org
cessna170.org
Have I lost anybody?

Yes Harold they WILL work with out the http;//. Guess George still owes me for my post.
And as for you signature it hasn't come down to listing cars yet but if you don't have at least an airplane and a tractor or a dog with a cool name listed, you just can't be taken that seroiusly.

Maybe so but I'll give Erics', Dougs' and especially Kyles' post a whole lot more respect than I once did.
Holey cow a Braque D'Auvergne with a cool name like Tetra. What the hell is a Braque D'Auvergne.

Nice site!! OK so I don't own a C-170 but we maintain 3 for customers. Hope that counts. 2 with 0-360 conversions.

Ok Brian we'll let you slide. Besides as Harold says your 180 is an overgrown 170. You surely have good taste owning a PA-18. We'll over look the 9N Ford like George's though.
Got any dogs with cool names or perhaps some species of dog only known to about 37 people?

Kyle, I knew there was something I liked about you! A guy with John Deere tractor (s) can't be all bad regardless of what Joe Harris says about you!!!!!!!!!!! Sure wish I had a 1960 JD 730 Diesel w/ wide front end to restore so I could remember the many, many hours I spent on one & its 720 predecessor. I am taking care of that GREEN chair for you & Becky. I'll have it at Petit Jean '05.
See ya.
