The International Cessna^® 170 Association

For those of you thinking about Bauman floats, I believe there is a possibility that Joe at Bauman will persue certification of the 2550's for the higher hp C-170's. The question mark of course, is money. If he can get enough $$'s or commitments to justify the engineering then he will contract with his engineer to get it done. He can be reached at birkemeyer@baumannfloats.com . I have heard from a number of sources that the Baumans are "un-beatable" for our size aircraft. I have also heard from one CREDIBLE source (who post to this list quite often) that Joe is an honest guy and a straight shooter. I have no financial interests in Bauman; I just want a set of their floats.

Joe is a good guy, and a straight shooter, and they make good floats. They are light and fast through the air.
