Another new 170B Owner

Good Evening Everyone,
First of all I have to tell you that if the assistance I received in finding a mechanic to perform a pre-purchase inspection ...... which rolled right into an annual (thanks George / Miles) is any indication of the fellowship of this group I'm delighted / honored to be a part of it.
I have just acquired a 1952 170B sitting down in Newberry SC awaiting a few parts prior to being picked up for the ride home to Cape Cod MA. It was cared for by another 170 Assoc. member and I'm delighted to have it.
The grand total on the squawk list was a Tach reading about 400 rpm to high, door seals needing replacement, spark plugs also needed replacing and last but not least a 500 hr impulse coupling check, although a brand new revision to that AD may have superseded the inspection requirement. Don't know why you wouldn’t want to have a look after 500 hours anyway, but that was the grand total for his list.
Considering our climate up here, we are installing the rieff cylinder band / pan heaters and a set of BAS shoulder harnesses just for safety sake.
If I can figure out how to post some photos, I will.
Anyway ..... Best to all of you and it's nice to be aboard.
