I'm in the process of converting the gear on a 170A to the early 180 gear. Is there anyone out there who has performed a similar conversion who might be willing to supply a sample Form 337?
Thanks

A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to some FAA guys who approve the 337s. They indicated that they approve the data only in accordance with "new guidleines" issued by FAA headquarters. Some of the earlier approved 337s may not be acceptable under the new rules. I would check with your local FSDO and get their new handbook and use that as a basis for the data approval. They indicated that previous 337s are a good starting point but you need to be within the guidelines provided to them by FAA Hq.
My 170A has the 180 gear legs installed and approved in Anchorage. It was a one line 337 which says "Istalled New Landing Gear Legs and 8.50 tires."
