Why in the world would anyone want to pour AVBLEND into an airplane?

If it had any significant beneficial effect at all, you can bet your bippie that the "big boys" would be using it, (Railroad locomotives, trucking fleets, etc), and at least one of the producers of lubricating oil would incorporate it in their formulation.

Remember STP?

Is it a beneficial effect if it gives the pilot owner a warm and fuzzy feeling?

I ran STP in the transmission of my 650 Triumph Bonneville - way back when - worked great - leaked less.
