FARTS

A common acronym immediately prior to takeoff/upon line-up that many professional crews use is: FATS- Flaps (set), Airbrakes (closed), Trims (set), Speeds (posted).
That has been changed very recently to FARTS.... which, since the LEX takeoff accident on the wrong runway, has added the "R" which stands for: Runway (noted/checked w/compass).
Whew!
Read about what the NTSB says about it at:

(Tip: Whenever I'm instructed to taxi to a particular runway for takeoff, I set my Hdg Bug, or in the 170 my compass is caged/but set, to the runway heading that corresponds to the runway number. Then I'm forced to check compass alignment w/the mag compass when I line up on the runway.)
