Does anybody have a lead on the material for these boots? The 170 book lists Ray's Aircraft in California but it seems the number is a fax number. If anybody knows where to get this stuff, I would appreciate it.
Thanks for any help.

My hangar neighbor bought some from Cessna. It is thicker in the middle, and thins out towards the trailing edges - GREAT stuff. I wanted some till I found out how much he paid. It was an unbelievable amount.

I have a full roll of 3-M leading edge tape. It is the 3M, 8672GB, 6 inches wide, by 18 yds long (?). I had intended to use it on my 206 wings but sold the plane. Spruce sells it for $212, but don't let that fool you. I want the best offer for it, and it's yours.

Cessnaparts.com/ Hill A/C shows a list price for P/N 1232040-5 abrasion boots as $48.00 cost of $43.00. These are the cessna flat boot approx. 1/16 thick by 6" wide. Brian

When I painted my '56 C-172TD back in 2000, I purchased several things including some rubber things that go between the horizontal stab & the fugelage. I "think" I may have purchased the rubber abrasion boots, such as you are looking for, from the same source. They sure save the leading edges. Try giving these folks a call.

I bought a set from.....I think.....Stoddard in Anchorage. I used part of them for my Glastar and the rest for the inside of my C-170's horizontal stabs.
Some of the AK guys can help me with Stoddard's full name and address. I'm in MT now and won't be back to AK until the first of March.

Hey Buck!
My kid’s team played Galena last night and you weren’t there!
I asked about you. Your son wasn't there but the BB coach was related to you I forgot how? He said you sold the 170?????
I even got stuck referring the game Galena won.
You left right before the cold weather too.
Take care,
