Special options for members

Ok, 
I am confused.
I logon with my userid and password. When I look at some treads the response is that it for members only.
Is there a userid and password for the Forums and another userid and password for The International Cessna 170 Association?
I was reading the section about Joe Harris. There was a link in there that I wanted to see. It did not allow me to do so
even though I had sucessfully logged on with my userid and password tot he Forums.
