Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rarely ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect in it's weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.

eye no, iowa. (It seems out of context. Run a real spell-check on it to observe the irony.)

Spell Check

Post by 170C »

I think we were told at one time, but of course I have forgotten. Is there a spell check on our forum or do we have to get that elsewhere? I use a spell check in my business, but don't really know how to do so on posts such as this and I really NEEEED IT!

If you switch to Firefox (http://www.firefox.com) instead of IE, it has a built in spell checker. All typing that you do on web pages like this will be checked in real time...

OK Thomas, thanks for your quick response, but what is IE? Is that internet explorer? How does one make the suggested change?

I use iespell http://www.iespell.com/ which is a free (donation) Internet Explorer spell check add-on when I'm using Windows and Internet Explorer.

Of course Mac users using Safari have a spell check included with that software or as mentioned you can use Firefox.
CAUTION - My forum posts may be worth what you paid for them!

blu-elder, I was going to say something about that myself. I'll bet the iespell.com site would prefer Bruce not let anyone know about that.

If you have the Google Toolbar, it has a spell-checker that works well.
