We were there :D This was the first time we had ever been, and already we cant wait till next year. The camping was GREAT the temps in the 70s in the day and 40-50 at night. Good food, GREAT people and planes. Anybody planning on going NEEDS to go next year.

Does anybody know of any other flyins like this.......the kids thought it was fun camping next to the plane, and I would love to find another flyin that we could do the same kina thing....

Wow I wish I could have been there and was thinking about it.

As far as events that seem similer in nature and size I can definitly recommend the Sentimental Journey fly-in held in Lockhaven PA in June, specially if you like Pipers at all.

Another event that I've only seen pictures and heard about is that is this size is Dave Mason's fly-in at his place in Texas which is comming up in a week or two.

There are other very nice opportunities for plane camping but much smaller. One I highly recommend is the Petit Jean event put on by Dave and Traci Llaseter in Arkansas in May.

There are many more I have yet to discover.

Actually April this year - April 25th & 26th. But it's a pure bred 170 fly-in, even though other type planes come. I've been fighting off the 180 Club, 195 Club, and last week the Taylor Craft Club offered to let them join us. The 170 Club has something special in the Petit Jean 170 - and it’s going to stay that way. Tailpilot, Petit Jean is 350 miles from Nashville.
