The International Cessna^® 170 Association

Has anyone in Alaska, had a 170B with the 26' Goodyears Field approved?Recently, that is?

Mine was done in '99. I've got a copy ready to e-mail if interested.

I have 26" Bush Wheels on my 170 and it was done with 2 STCs.

There is a fellow in Quebec with an STC that covers putting 180 / 185 legs on a 170, and Alaska Bush Wheels has an STC to put the Double Piston brakes and theit tires on those legs.

MX Library has contact info for our member who has the gear legs STC.

Why can't the 26" Bushwheels go on the 170 legs? (Lady Legs)

Are the larger tires harder on the gear box or do they give more cushion with low tire pressures?
