Some EGT Questions

I have the two probe EGT system in my C170. I notice when climbing out at full throttle the left and right EGT indicators are split - the left colder than the right. If I reduce throttle slightly the two EGT indicators more closley match. Is this a function of one side running richer than the other? I am not sure how that would occur, or why movement of the throttle would change the mixture. Is the split just an anomally of the two probe EGT system? The split only occurs at full throttle.

The carburetor has a "fuel enrichment" function at full throttle to help keep temps down (and why full throttle climbs are preferred.)

Robert-
If you had a 6-position EGT you would see that all of the EGTs vary differently as you change power, mixture, and carb heat settings.
