From a new 170 owner, and new assoc member, thanks to all who posted their experience and opinions on buying and flying a 170. I learned alot from your words. Of course, I applied my special puppy filter to your advice - got excited, peed all over, and threw money at the seller.
I've enjoyed sitting in my 170 waiting for weather and schedules to coincide. Will enjoy it more after my confidence training. Luckily, Avemco has removed any temptation in their mandatory 10 hours of dual.
Also luckily, I have a CFI (for the first 7-8 hours) who is really working with me on flying and maintenance. CFI is a nice guy, AND the previous owner
