In the sw corner of Minnesota. The wind sock is at our farm about 20 miles east of Brookings S.D. The news last night said we peaked at 61mph yesterday afternoon. We live half way between KPQN Pipestone and KBKX Brookings, it's where all the wind turbines are at......go figure.
Have a good week

Dick and Richard, welcome to the 21'st century!
I know you guys both have access to the internet, otherwise you wouldn't be on this forum.

If you give a (north end of a southbound rat) about where KPQN is, it takes about 15 seconds to open a new browser window and type in
www.airnav.com/airport/kpqn . (Actually, I got all the info I needed from the title of the post.)
(Nothing personal guys, just some good-natured ribbing. We've had this discussion before, and I don't expect anyone to change how they do things.)

Actually you wouldn't have to go any further that typing kpqn into google.

I took this to mean nothing more than it's getting closer to winter. Any more than that is more than I want to think about.

Guys, calm down-
BL and I obviously know how to look up an identifier. I can't speak for BL but I'm just lazy and don't want to look them up!
This post is a good example of the point BL was trying to make. The original intent of the post was lost in the confusion of where KPQN is located.

Most of the flyers that I'm acquainted with got over the habit of talking in "airport identifiyer" when the passed their private pilot check.
The fact that their geographic location is available on the internet has no bearing on it. The subject matter is generally not worth the effort.
