To all my new 170 freinds....thanks for the laughter, the stories, the fun at Kyle and Becky's. Even though we didn't make it this to the convention it was nice atleast to meet some of you in Owatonna.

Happiness is in the Journey, not the destination

For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin---real life
But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first,
some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid.
At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.
This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness.
Happiness is the way
So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.

Happiness is in the journey, not the destination.

Imagine what deep thoughts you might have if you spent a week with us and not just a day.

It was a blast to meet you and your wife. Now I know what everyone was talking about in the "Rat Plane" I admire you for enjoying the "journey" not the plane.
And Ed telling the story about his take-off somewhere over by yellowstone and bouncing over the fence down the hill...... and "Cajun"... just a very nice group of people that my wife and I will remember forever.

It was very nice to meet you and your family as well, short as it was. Hopefully the time you spent with the other folks, like a shiny fish lure, will attract you to next years convention were we can set the hook.

Actually I do enjoy the plane as much as the journey. It is nearly perfect. Well, maybe it could be faster and climb better. Sounds like it needs a new pair of Keds. Come to think of it it does need new tires. OK maybe the journey is better than the ratty plane.

Has a cool sticker in the window though. I could not believe your son who clearly was not born till way after the 60's immediately recognized the Rat Fink image of Ed Big Daddy Roth from that era.

Didn't you notice he does have a pretty cool dad that he hangs around with that was a gearhead in the late 60's, he even likes some of my music . We restored a 68 stang that he drives.

You can of opened the door for a dad to brag a little so here it goes.

Team Minnesota Archery finished with a 'Bronze" behind Georgia and Texas

John recieved a "Siver" in the FITA round shooting 30,40,50,and 60 meters. 300+ archers from 32 states competing!!!!!

"Pretty cool dad." That might have been obvious on day two had you joined us at the convention.
