170's at KOAK

Post by buzzlatka »

Flew into the Kaiser Air FBO in Oakland on Friday and there were two other 170's parked at the FBO. One was polished and red and the other green. I have been flying in there for years and hardly ever see another 170, let alone 3!

The red one got there first.
Did you get their numbers?

MUST have left home a day earlier.... (My airplane is currently painted in 80's "earth tones", but the data plate indicates it left Wichita with "WELSH GREEN" exterior trim.

Nicely done Miles. :D

I'm glad we all were not asleep at the switch and let George's comment get away clean.

And the reason it was changed was to make it faster, no doubt.

Nope, I was just trying to please the female in my life at the time (how many bad decisions have been made for THAT reason? ) Actually, I'm no great fan of green, especially the 20-year old chalky white with faded pale green trim (faded red would be PINK, yeeccch!) that was that was on '98C when I purchased her. This post was just too much of a temptation to tweak you, George! You take it so well...

One of the truly rewarding pleasures of this association are the good friendships that are found here. Being the target of so many is another odd sort of "reward".
