Bill,
Sounds like you're getting close...I was fueling up 04D yesterday and the 206 was in its hangar and it had this eastwardly longingly look to it...
Good Luck, wish I was a CFI, I'd take you up on your request...

Thanks Bill, I really hope everything works out and the weather is good so we can meet up while I'm out there.
You will put a blanket over the 206 and tuck it in everynight until I get there won't you
W.

Bill,
There's a CFI here in town that may be interested in doing that, if you haven't gotten anyone else. let me know and I'll ask her...she's a good pilot and I believe she has 206 time also, I don't know why I didn't think of her before...

The thing to watch for in a 206 is Full Flaps. If you are lightly loaded you must absolutely plan on HEAVY stick forces in the flare and HOLD that nose up all the way thru touchdown to avoid "wheelbarrowing"..... and a Full Flap Go-Around is a REAL PITCH UP. That airplane has twice as much flap as you are expecting and you must be prepared to get them retracted and hold that nose down on a go-around.
I made EVERY takeoff a soft-field technique using 10-degrees, and every landing full flaps. I used less runway than anyone around including most STOL airplanes.
Congratulations, Dubya! You're gonna LOVE that airplane. Tell us about it. (Pics?)
